DAARUT TAUHIID, GEGERKALONG GIRANG, BANDUNG
in 1980’s, about Street of Gegerkalong Girang was famous as “immoral warehouse." But after coming of a so called young man Abdullah Gymnastiar by bringing immeasurable of positive activity, exactly area which is often referred as 'Gerlong' just that, nowadays is more known as mission centre. When we mention Gerlong, surely remembering Daarut Tauhid, so also on the contrary. Institution of Daarut Tauhid founded by Abdullah Gymnastiar --- a self-educated Moslem scholar (learned directly from K.H. Choer Affandi, head of Islamic School Manonjaya - Tasikmalaya, from a Moslem scholar gild from Garut, and also a Moslem scholar gild from Demak) officially at 4 September 1990.
Early beginning of Daarut Tauhid came from enterpreneur activity which was conducted by Keluarga Mahasiswa Islam Wirausaha(KMIW) in 1987, below this pious business commando. At that time, some of profit was intended and used to sustain missionary activity. That is in the form of studying routine to be common and adolescent under tuition of Abdullah himself. Used for the office of BMT (Baitul Mal wat-Tamwil), publication & printing office, self-service & mini market, telecommunications booth, information centre, and others.
Education model placed forward by Daarut Tauhid is recognized entitled “Management of Qalbu", a concept run by KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar. A method is inviting its participant to harmonize mind, heart, and action (recitation). Its nucleus is to process and look after heart clarity by recognizing Allah more deep (with deed / recitation). And then, filling [him/ it] with spiritual values [of] Islam like patient, candid, downright, accompanied with endeavour. As Islamic School residing in down town, Daarut Tauhid intending to target urban society segment which wish to deepen theology.
Education Program
Education program is divided into 3 programs, they are protégé program, brief study program and program of sanlat / training / courses.
- Protégé Living Program for protégé which remains in environment of Islamic School. Divided into become three program subs:
- Protégé Living Quarterly Program, destined to which do not have activity learn/ work outside Islamic School;
- Protégé Living 1 Year Program, appropriate to which having routine activity (learn / work) outside Islamic School;
- Special Program Protégé Residence is former user of other additive and narcotic (in construction level).
- Brief Program Study for protégé who live in environmental outside Islamic School (among participant / society). Divided to become:
- Studying Routine Thursday Night at 19.00 up to 20.30 WIB. Studied Items gyrate about recognizing highness of Allah;
- Studying Routine Sunday Noon, every Sunday at 14.00 up to 15.00 WIB about role of Management of Qolbu in daily life;
- Training of Management of Qolbu to employees. Employees of some BUMN (Telkom, KAI, Perhutani) have experienced this training. Carried out by PPMQ (Centre School of Management Of Qolbu). Achievement Motivation Training is also carried out by PPMQ, in the form of training of management in open nature of Management plus of Qolbu;
- Study of Thematic, studying special theme by attending speakers according to its area. Carried out one month once;
- Workshop/ college about matters, among others about education of child, economic of Islam till learning quantum.
- Program of Islamic School Flash (Sanlat)/ Training/ carried out Courses to fulfil request of Management study of Qolbu and special education service:
- Islamic School Flash (Sanlat), this activity is drawn up special to all students and student which wish self-motivation more is recognizing, studying and comprehending Islam in school vacation times/ campus;
- Training of Management of Qolbu to employees. Employees some BUMN (Telkom, KAI, Perhutani) have experienced this training. Is carried out by PPMQ (Centre School of Management Of Qolbu). Achievement Motivation Training is also carried out by PPMQ, in the form of training of management in open nature of Management plus of Qolbu;
- Trainings of regional result of cooperation with Local Government, for example Training Of Satpol Pamong Praja service and Training of Kopontren mount West Java;
- Training Learn Quickly Read Al-Qur'An with Method of Daarut Tauhiid. Insya Allah in 150 minutes, participant can read Al-Qur'An better and right;
- Courses of Qolbun Salim Family, gathered especially for Moslem family owning august aspiration make its family member progressively recognizing, comprehending, and believing Islam teaching and knowledge of public. Facility is accommodated by Cottage Daarul Jannah;
- Courses of Private Al-Islam. Location and time learn can be determined according to agreement.
MAISONETTE OF ISLAMIC SCHOOL WITH VISION OF ENVIRONMENT
